Allow me to introduce Kim Holowatiuk, a passionate individual residing on a serene acreage near Calgary, Alberta. Alongside her husband Bill, Kim shares her haven with a delightful mix of furry companions, including the lively Australian Shepherd, Blue, the endearing fainting goat, Manny, and two charming donkeys named Jose and Ten. Completing the family are the barn cats, Cathy and Schmitty. However, it is through the art of mandala creation that Kim truly finds solace. This captivating form of expression not only satisfies her creative side but also serves as a source of relaxation and meditation. With every brush stroke and dot, Kim immerses herself in the calming and meditative process, infusing her art with a sense of tranquility. Additionally, there is an intimate touch of her heart woven into each and every item she creates. From the delicate mandala designs to the carefully selected materials, Kim's creations embody a piece of her soul, ensuring that each item holds a unique essence that resonates with those who cherish them.
My Story
I am also a leather worker and I make custom luxury dog collars (Sleepy Holow). Because of some health issues, I have been doing more Mandala Art Painting as it is easier on my body. Check out my Kim Dot Calm Blog located on the main menu.
I love working with pet owners so much, so it was a natural progression for me to want to create mandala art with pets in mind. I know all too well how heartbreaking it is to lose aa four-legged family. I started by making some memorial stones for a few of my friends who had lost their beloved pet and it brought them so much joy to have something tangible to hold, and it made me feel so good to provide them with a momento for them to hold.
My boy Turner was my first dog ever, and then there was his brother Satchel. These two boys have since crossed the Rainbow Bridge but they also inspired me to make keepsake boxes so that you can store your loved ones collar, their favorite toy, a lock of their hair, photos, or even their ashes.
It would be my honor to create a one of a kind memorial for your beloved pet.
